Wear your science hat, because we will learn the science behind compost and worm composting from Dr. Ann C. Wilkie, UF/IFAS soil and water sciences expert. We will also hear some hands-on tips and tricks from Lee County teachers on how to build your own worm composting bin.

The beans, zucchini, cucumbers, Seminole pumpkin and okra, are thriving! We’re trying to decide if we should separate them into more containers or plant directly in the ground. The onions, peas and cucamelon were slow to sprout but what’s growing looks good!
